Hello World!

This is our first blog post as a newly married couple! Actually, our first blog post altogether (neither Nic or I were ever big bloggers). But, after several people asked us if we had a blog, we decided we better join the throngs and post updates on our life and adventures. Nic and I have both been loving married life, however, it has been an adjustment to realize that almost no decision anymore is your own...I say this as a transition to noting that, even in deciding upon the name of our blogspot, Nic and I had to make a compromise. Nic really wanted us to name it 'Barnette Tales...woo, ooh' (Does the familiar Duck Tales theme song ring a bell?). I told him that everyone might not get that, although I love his spirit and creativity (if there are any other Duck Tales fans out there that are in support, let us know--with enough encouragement, we could be persuaded to change--or at least we could watch old reruns together). Anyhow, we opted for something much more standard. We'll see how it goes. Well, we're excited to have another means to keep in better touch with our friends and family--look for more blogs and pictures posted soon. Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. I really like the Duck tales Idea and I will start getting signitures to get it changed. I would also like to watch re-runs.

  3. Oh, your first blog! It is the same style (the brown design) that we selected when we first joined the blogging world (2H-1M - try to figure out what this means). I do have fond memories of duck tales, but Chris & I have been watching more Saved by the Bell this last week, so I might recommend, "Barnette by the Bell" as a good name.
